Description
Running the nightly build of WordPress on a development server.
No plugins active, 2011 theme in use.
I have the 2 column (or 3 or 4) format selected for the dashboard. 3 widgets available in the first column (WordPress blog, Right Now & Recent Comments) and when I try to drag any of them to the 2nd column, the dropzone does not appear and releasing the widget simply reverts it back to the origin.
I've tried this in FireFox 7.0.1, IE 9 and Google Chrome.

Could you re-test in the latest trunk? The JS for the columns was changed again as we decided to take out the "auto" option. Currently when you switch to more columns, the extra column is populated with the last postbox from the previous column unless you have less postboxes than columns, for example have only 3 postboxes shown and switch to 4 columns, then the last column gets the dashed border.

18882.patch will toggle the mark area if a hidden postbox is readded.
Already informed azaozz. But nice to have a ticket now.
Do you have in the second column widgets/metaboxes which are hidden? Take a look at the screen options.
