Description
I set my Default Post Format as Aside. So I expect all my posts via email will appear as Aside, same as Default Post Category does perfectly while post via email. But it is always posting as Standard whenever I post by email. Kindly fix this. Wordpress is Awesome :)

Make a default post format setting for 3.5, and remove the admin page from core, unless the feature is in use. Same approach as for the link manager.
This should be plugin material, but these options may still be populated on new installs. Such core options will ensure compatibility between plugins that offer the full functionality.
Note: See

Not sure how simple this is, based on our current conventions.
On Settings > Writing, we have Default Post Format, Default Link Category, and Default Post Category.
However, we also have Default Email Category. It is this field that gets obeyed for post-by-email, not Default Post Category.
We would need a new Default Email Post Format setting to keep consistency.
