In Twenty Eleven we added CSS support for the Jetpack stats smiley and twitter widget. We should make sure we're doing the same with Twenty Twelve.

How are popular plugins determined for inclusion? I love the idea of Twenty Eleven (all themes, really) being expectant of oft-used plugins, but how far do we go with that?

Just for Jetpack widgets, I guess.

So far we've gone with Stats and Twitter widget used by loads of people. We should at least keep that up. :)

Sending some CSS to Lance right now so he can make a diff and upload it for me. It generalizes form styles so plugins that insert things like contact forms will fit in.
