    1 To help confirm the current behavior in trunk against the changes being worked on in [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/pull/5139 PR #5139], I've opened a separate PR that includes unit tests that demonstrate which loosey values currently result in a DB update and which do not. It may be useful to commit a set of currently passing tests so we can more easily see what behavior will change as a result of a fix to this ticket.
