Milestone 2.0.1 Feature Tweak

• Admin, Editor should have notice posted on dashboard of posts pending publication from lower roles
• Admin, Editor should recieve email notifications of posts pending publication from lower roles
• Publish button for lower roles which does not publically public but which features above hook into.

This is a bit more than a feature tweak, as it involves some UI changes, and a little plumbing. Should we push this out for 2.1?

Sounds like an enhancement to me, as well. Gefiniately a good one but still an enhancement. Feedback from devs about milestone?

Probably 2.5 material. Definitely not 2.0.1.

There is currently no such thing as a "lower role". Roles are not heirarchical, and no interface (core or plugin) exists that will implement it.

This sounds like a very important feature that I definately think should be a core part of WordPress. Is this not possible simply by using the code (or similar) which shows 'drafts' in the manage->posts section?

Closing as wontfix. There doesn't appear to be a demand for this feature, neither has the exact desired behavior been clearly defined. (Should the admin be notified the first time a draft is made? Everytime it's saved?...)
