Description
I've been searching the forum for the last couple of days with no success.
I think I may be having a problem related to the database error post mentioned before, but I thought I'd put it seperately in case it's something else. My post won't save whether I click save, save and edit or post first. If I just type in "hello" and post it does it with no problem. However, when I past my post from word and try to save or publish, I get this error: http://www.divaknitting.com/blog/wp-admin/post.php 65.29.203.219 /blog/wp-admin/post.php www.divaknitting.com Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 403
The only thing I've done differently from a successful post this morning was cut and paste the text from word. I used the html window since there were links etc in code form. I am trying to change the timestamp, however if I just type in "hello" and a timestamp for monday it works fine. Please help.
FYI...I just went directly into MySQL and posted. It then shows up in the WP admin panel as a post but can't be edited or deleted from there. Thought that might help someone figure out what part the trouble is coming from. Thanks!
Other things I have tried: disabled and delted everything in cache, turned off wysiwyg editor, tried posting with both FF and IE...none of these worked obviously
Thanks!

I have asked and searched on the forum extensively.
Based on all of the things I have tried, I believe the error/bug is something in the way the post.php file interacts with the database.
The versions on the server are PHP version 4.3.11 and
MySQL version 4.1.14-standard if that helps. I asked about upgrading the mysql on the server to 5.0, but my host isn't ready to do that and besides, the database itself doesn't seem to be the problem...what post.php is asking the database to do seems to be the problem.
Again, a simple short post goes through with no problems...not sure if it is coincidence but the longer post I am trying won't go through. Same error on FF and IE, have also tried disabling all plugins and cache.
Sorry if this seems like support, but to me it seems like a bug. Thanks again and I appreciate your time.

There have been similar problems in the past that resulted from mod_security in place on the host. It boils down to using a "forbidden" word in the body of your post; and has nothing to do with the length of the post.
For comparison, try creating a post that contains nothing but the word "Test" repeated several dozen times. If that posts successfully, contact your host and ask them if they have mod_security enabled. If they, ask them which words from your blocked posts are triggering it.

Skippy...I think you have hit the nail on the head. I went through the post line by line and there was only one specific line that wouldn't post. I have contacted my host to make them aware. I didn't find any info on this at the support board or in the codex...not sure if it's because it's not there or because the search function right now is a little wacky. In any case, I really appreicate the help. Thank you!
This is more of a support request. Please post at the forums. Reopen if you have details on exactly why it isn't happening.
