Gallery Editing Sometimes Shows Wrong Images

Description

Steps to reproduce this:

  1. Select a few images.
  2. Click Create a new gallery.
  3. Click Add to Gallery (tab).
  4. Select a few more images.
  5. Click Add to gallery (button).
  6. Click Add to Gallery (tab) and note the library state.
  7. Click Cancel Gallery.
  8. Click Create a new gallery.
  9. Click Add to Gallery (tab).

Expected result:

The Media Library should display all images that are not part of the current gallery.

Actual result:

The Media Library displays the images that were available to the previous gallery, minus any images in the current gallery.

Workaround:

Reset the filter to "Uploaded to this post" and then back to "Images".
