Plugins page: contrast issues

Description

The text for inactive plugins on the Plugins page is too light. Currently, it only has a contrast ratio of 2.8:1 - which is way too low. The required minimum is 4.5:1.

Additionally, there is no way to “highlight” (increase the contrast) on the relevant text without a mouse - an issue that will affect all sighted keyboard navigators.

I'm a little confused - the text for inactive plugins doesn't change colors on hover. The background is #f4f4f4 and the foreground is #333, which is a contrast ratio of 11.5:1. Can you post a screenshot or something?

Sorry - I'm using the MP6 plugin, so this ticket plus #23809 & #23810 relate to the new UI viewed via this plugin. I'll update the other rickets with this details.

Do you still need a screenshot?

MP6 is a plugin, not core. This is not (yet) the place to raise issues. I see that you've already reported some of this on Make UI, so I would continue to do that.

Jen specifically asked me to raise Trac tickets for these.

Esmi, you could try http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/newticket and choose mp6 as component … if MP6 were registered as a component. Ask one of the plugin developers to do that.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
