Description

Menus can be displayed in locations defined by your theme, even used in sidebars by adding a “Custom Menus” widget on the Widgets screen.

The widget is called “Custom Menu”, not “Custom Menus”: tags/3.6/wp-includes/default-widgets.php#L1103.

Clicking the title of any menu item in the editor will reveal a standard group of settings.

That's not quite accurate, you have to click the arrow on the right of the item. See #23936.
