Description (last modified by ocean90)

Splitting this out from #23561.

Screenreader: NVDA 2012.2.1
Browser: FF16.0.2 on Windows 7

When using a screen reader, the close link in the Add Media panel does not announce itself when tabbing forwards, but it does when reverse tabbing.

Do we know what causes this happen in the first place? How is this now, given that focus is put on the close link when opening the modal?

When I looked at this after the first report, I couldn't figure out why it was happening, but it was consistently reproducible. I'll check it again with the other changes.

  • Keywords close added; needs-patch removed

This now works just fine, and announces "Close" on opening.

Recommend: change link text to read "Close Add Media Panel", to provide verification of what's happening for screen reader users. But that should be a separate ticket.

Seems to me that this can now be closed.
