there already exists a termmeta table.

There is no meta table for terms in core. #10142 is the main ticket for adding term meta to core.

    33I understand that they were closed; however, there already exists a termmeta table. The only thing holding it back from being used is that lines 208, 209 of wp-includes/wp-db.php is missing 'termmeta'.
