#26359 closed defect (bug) (worksforme)

After the first successfull upload, every next image upload fails with Safari on MacOS 10.6

Description

On MacOS 10.6 with system supplied Safari:

When uploading pictures from around 900KB & up, the first upload will succeed but every subsequent upload will never finish.

Many smaller images will upload fine, but after the first bigger one, uploads are "buggy".

Tried on multiple 10.6 laptops, all identical behavior.

I did not find any Javascript console errors or messages.
Empty cache will not help.
Logout & login will help.
Clear cookies will help.

Firefox on the same machine works fine.

I can attach the http post (as copied from Safari developer tools) to the ticket, if wanted. I saved them from a first successfull upload and from the subsequent failed upload.

What I did find there is that both uploads use the same wpnonce value. Even more weird: after many logout/login and Safari restart, the upload of the failed image used the identical wpnonce again...

Since aparently not many people have had this issue and there is no problem with Safari on MacOS X > 10.6, I guess it's not a very important bug...

@joostdekeijzer Really sorry this didn't get investigated earlier - at this point, OSX 10.6 usage appears to be quite low and there's a workaround, though it may be inconvenient/awkward. Going to close out.
