Description
Embedded objects have a higher priority in the DOM with IE11, and cover the menu and search areas in twentyfourteen, most likely a z-index issue?
Isn't a problem in IE 8 through 10 or Chrome.
Attached screenshot for clarification.

I don't think it's a CSS z-index issue, it's whether wmode
is set to opaque or transparent. See http://ageekandhisblog.com/how-to-fix-internet-explorer-youtube-video-showing-above-fixed-element-ignoring-z-index/ for an explanation.
Not sure if worth fixing.

- Milestone 3.8 deleted
- Resolution set to wontfix
- Status changed from new to closed
After an IRC discussion we've decided not to patch this, as it's a 3rd party embed and in the past the project has decided it best not to mess with 3rd party embeds.
