Description

I'd like to call to attention that searching for responsive layout themes in 3.8 only yields 2 results. I recorded a quick screencast http://screenr.com/C09H

I'm assuming that this is part of the greater issue of how tags work on wordpress.org/themes which also only lists 2 themes, see here http://wordpress.org/themes/tags/responsive-layout

I'd say for someone just discovering search for their first time, without actually typing in a keyword, using the checkbox to look for responsive theme may not satisfy their appetite -- let alone showcase all the responsive themes WP already has in it's cache.

Is there anything that can be done to make the responsive-layout tag retroactive? Perhaps authors request their theme to be tagged properly?

responsive-layout is a new tag, see #21442.

Yep, I see the new tag, but I'm curious how theme designers go about requesting it be assigned to a theme.

The tags that apply to a theme are taken from the Tags field in the style.css header. Theme devs can add the new tag when they update the theme in the repo.

Yep, had brain fart that they are located in style.css. We'll process ours to include it.
