Yes, that is possible - thank you for bringing that up. I've uploaded a new patch without that change (26632.2.diff​).

The current help text appears to imply that some of the default widgets are configurable too, which is not the case. Could we perhaps change it to "some boxes added by plugins may have configurable content" or something like that?

Click the title bar of the box to expand or collapse it. Some boxes added by plugins may have configurable content, and will show a "Configure" link in the title bar if you hover over it.
