Description

when I try to customize or live preview, the side bar shows but the site loads and then continuously reloads in an endless loop.
I am very new to this and am not fluent in code, etc. but am a decent learner... :)

FYI. running the latest version of WP 3.8 Graphene Theme

Does the issue still occur with all your plugins deactivated? If not, re-activate them one by one until you find the culprit.

Do you have any browser extensions that may be interfering?

Failing that, it could be a problem with the theme. In which case you should contact the theme author for support.

I've deactivated all plugins and still cannot use live preview with any themes. I am using Risen theme currently but have tried 2014 and 2013. I get a blank page on the right and menus on the left. This has not been working for some time, but I downloaded a new theme and would like to have live preview to see changes I make.
I'm on 3.8.1 via Ipage.

This is most likely a code issue with your environment (from a particular theme or plugin or something weird happening with the server). I've seen instances where something causes a 500 server error in the Customizer preview, causing it to fail to load, but that doesn't affect the front-end or the admin because the bad code only runs in the Customizer preview.

If this is a core issue it's probably the same one as in #22037, which has more technical details, so let's consolidate the discussion there.
