I have the same question. Looking good, by the way. I left it open in case there were other things we needed to clean up or adjust, especially since this screen is rendered in two very distinct places.`

Found something.

"When I edit an image attachment (jpg) I can see a featured image meta box,. I know this is enabled for many other media types, like videos and playlists, but seems strange for an image to have (another) image to represent itself."

Looks like this:

Introduced in [27657]. Moved to a separate ticket (#27673), as it's not related to the Edit Image section.
