Thanks for the prompt reply!
See attached versions. What about Firefox and IE? They all have same issue.

That then sounds like you may be missing the font we use for these icons. What's in wp-includes/fonts/?

See attached. I've tried renaming folder to fonts-old and re-uploading from fresh 3.8.2 fonts folder same issue. Tried leaving fonts-old without renaming to fonts still same. No connection even though folder is not there.

Can you please take a look at your browser console and report potential error/warning messages? Take also a look at the Network tab to check that the font files are loaded.

I hope I've captured correct screenshots as instructions are from older version of Chrome.
I've looked at network tab and I could not find any reference to any files being loaded from
/wp-includes/fonts
BTW, WP got updated to the latest version 3.8.3
Hi JohnyBeGood, which browser and version? Chrome has had a number of bugs as it pertains to fonts lately, including http://blog.typekit.com/2014/02/04/chrome-bug-affecting-web-fonts/ and http://blog.typekit.com/2014/02/28/new-bug-in-chrome-v33-affecting-web-fonts/.
