#27877 closed defect (bug) (worksforme)

Insert / edit link button not working

Reported by: cabel Owned by:
Milestone: Priority: normal
Severity: normal Version: 3.9
Component: Editor Keywords:
Focuses: Cc:

Version: 3.9

Steps for me:

  1. Open post in Visual editor
  2. Select text
  3. Click Insert/Edit Link button in visual editor toolbar

Expected result:

  • Link editor opens

Actual result:

  • Nothing opens. All other toolbar buttons working normally.

Error in Console:

[Error] TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'f.wrap.show')

open (load-scripts.php, line 1007)
(anonymous function) (wp-tinymce.php, line 46)
execCommand (wp-tinymce.php, line 10)

fire (wp-tinymce.php, line 8)
e (wp-tinymce.php, line 8)
i (wp-tinymce.php, line 3)
h (wp-tinymce.php, line 3)

Presumably this is an incompatibility in my install? All plugins are up to date but maybe somebody is causing trouble?

Possible hint: additional error when loading the page:

[Error] TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'postEdit.$set_as_source_of_dialog.dialog')

This is an incompatibility with the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin.

When I deactivate this plugin, the Edit Link button functions as expected.

Should I go ahead and close as 'worksforme'?
