Description

I think it would be very helpful for plugin and theme developers if you add a simple number line in the plugin and theme code editors.

There are many dups of this (search for syntax highlighting), and the topic has been discussed -- and rejected -- to death in the past. The decision was to make it -- and leave it as -- plugin material.

There even were talks about removing the code editors altogether.

Suggesting close/wontfix.
