A blank link prior to comments is translated as character 61697. I rather suspect these might be genericons. I posted to the A11Y team earlier that these are becoming problematic, as, by default, they're not read by screenreaders. Perhaps they're just arrows or something & have no significance, but it is disconcerting to have blank links. On the other hand, they might serve to collapse the menu items, which really might be problematic. If I have some extra time, I'll look at the source in order to gain more insight into this. |
