Description
Unlike images, you can't easily align oEmbeded content in WordPress. When clicking the Pencil icon to edit the content, there's no option to change its alignment.
While there is a plugin that adds oEmbed styling https://wordpress.org/plugins/oembed-styling/, I think it's something that should be a core behavior. At the very least, core should provide a set of oEmbed CSS Classes that themes can adopt to allow users to control the alignment within the post editor.
One example is Slideshare. When I copy and paste a Slideshare link into the Visual editor, it aligns it to the left. When I click on the Pencil icon to edit the content, the only things I can manipulate is the URL and Maximum width/Maximum Height.
I searched the WordPress.org support forums to see how popular of a request this is and most of the responses are from 5 years ago before oEmbed was added to WordPress. I also searched Trac to see if a ticket requesting this had already been filed and came up empty.
