No way to dismiss the FTP credential popup

Description
When I click on the "update now" link in the plugins page, the FTP/SSH credential appears.
There is no way to dismiss this notice to choose another update method. There should be a link to close the modal popup.
A typical use case is for a local install that do not have FTP or SSH access. Plugin update should be done either by direct local file access or via wp-cli.
