Description

On smaller devices there is spacing for the button to be aligned to the input field.

Not just on the Users screen :) Wondering if a form elements CSS review should be a priority for the CSS roadmap, I'd say yes.

I don't agree. The button's label could get quite long in some languages, and the bigger a search field the easier it is to use on mobile and to see its full value.

I've probably misunderstood this, in my previous comment I was referring to the buttons vertical alignment which is often inconsistent, while the ticket is about the horizontal spacing :)
