    44That's part of my argument: Since this is a core feature that has issues, we either have to do something to improve it or figure out a way of phasing it out. I think Post Formats could be valuable to WordPress and its users, but it would require some rethinking of the use case and more robust documentation and UI implementation. Currently it feels like the remnants of an abandoned dream more than a core feature. I'd be willing to contribute to high level thinking and reevaluation of what the formats do and how they should be implemented to meet current user needs and demands while ensuring consistent behavior. As for actual code implementation, others would do a better job than me.

     6'''Edit:''' I see that the linked Github repo is the Post Formats UI. That's a whole other discussion. I'm primarily talking about functionality as-is and front-end implementation through themes.
