#32976 new defect (bug)

Adding tags using Quick Edit without picking a tag from live search drop-down menu causes the overlay of it after saving

Reported by: Xtraboy Owned by:
Milestone: Awaiting Review Priority: normal
Severity: normal Version: 4.2.2
Component: Quick/Bulk Edit Keywords: reporter-feedback
Focuses: ui, javascript, administration Cc:

When I use Quick Edit option in a list of posts and add a tag without selecting it from the dropdown menu with similar tags that appears automatically, after hitting Enter button on my keyboard for saving changes, the drop-down menu with similar tags remains in overlay and not disappears. This happens on every next Quick Edit.

Go to Posts –> Quick Edit a post –> Add a tag without selecting it from the drop-down list –> Hit Enter on your keyboard.

Hi @Xtraboy, can you confirm this is an issue in the latest stable version of Chrome? I can't duplicate this in Chrome 44 or 45, in WordPress 4.2.2 or 4.3. The overlay remains visible for a second but then disappears.

Hi @jasonlcrane

This bug is still there. I'm on Chrome Version 45.0.2454.85 (64-bit) for Mac.

Same situation… Quick Edit a post, type a tag, hit Enter – the dropdown menu remains opened.
