Description
There are 90k users in my blog, I am very hard to create or edit post.
After waiting for 2 minutes, I can not click to select any author in [author meta box], because my browser will crash.

Thanks for your report, we're already tracking this issue in #19867.
In the meantime, the Co-Authors Plus plugin might be helpful, it replaces the standard Author meta box with an autocomplete form.
