Upgrading from 4.1.7 to 4.2.4 will fail

Description

Version: 4.1.7 to 4.2.4

Steps to reproduce: When updating via plesk update, the update will fail with wp-includes folder and files in main folder missing. Also, the upgrade delete themes folder in wp-content

Using default theme

OS: CentOS 6.4 (Final)

Hi there, thanks for your report.

AFAIK WordPress usually doesn't touch the wp-content folder at all during updates, so this error seems strictly related to Plesk. I suggest asking your hoster regarding this or posting on the WordPress.org ​support forums as it most probably isn't a bug in core itself.
