Cannot modify image

Description

When going to the Media library, one cannot modify (e.g. crop) images. A broken thumbnail is displayed instead of the image (shown on image attachment).
This problem was reproduced in a fresh WordPress installation with default theme and no plug-in.

Thanks for the report, MarSim.

Testing this with WordPress 4.2 and WordPress trunk, I'm unable to reproduce the problem. I've also tried switching to the French translation as per your screenshot, and images appear and can be cropped as expected.

This issue isn't being widely reported so I can only assume that it is, unfortunately, a problem specific to your site. Your best bet is to open a thread on the ​support forums with as many details as you can, and go from there.

If the issue can be reproduced, do please re-open this ticket with the details.
