Description (last modified by SergeyBiryukov)

This UI issue has been brought up a number of times, and each time it has been ignored. I would like to bring it up again, because it is something that bothers me almost daily.

I do a lot of media uploading, and after upload, I copy-and-paste media urls into posts/pages/emails/GoogleDocs/etc. Currently I have to click the "edit" link for each media item, which loads a new page where I can then grab the url. It would be great to display the media url after upload alongside the "edit" button, or, as some others have suggested, in a modal window with other media metadata.

Agreed with this. Speed is important, and we need to be able to copy media URL's quickly.

I'm really disinclined to make any enhancements to this screen, as I'd like for its current incarnation to go away in the near future (see #32398). Is there any reason you're not using the media library's grid view for this? You can drag-and-drop upload anywhere on that screen, or use the add new button which gives you an inline upload form. From there you can go into the details modal and the URL field is there.

I just tried a bunch of scenarios where the full URL is displayed - doesn't work very well responsively. The suggestion here remains: upload using the Grid view. You will be one click away after uploading from all of your metadata.

The Add New Media screen's days are numbered.
