5		To me, this is an area where the WordPress philosophy of “[https://wordpress.org/about/philosophy/ Decisions, not Options]” is pretty clear. End users should not have to worry about the technical details of this default. It’s up to us as a community to do the research (as @dnewton ~~and @joemcgill~~ have) and make a decision that’s appropriate for the majority of sites, so that users don't need to.
