Description

It would be useful to have this on wp_die() page template. wp_die() could be used as simple maintenance plugin and this would be very helpful to have this meta attribute set to prevent errors in e.g. google analytics.

  • Focuses administration template removed

For maintenance pages noindex is the wrong way. If you run that on your homepage, Google would stop indexing your homepage. That's not a good user experience.

That's not what you want. You should send a 503 status header in that case, see https://yoast.com/http-503-site-maintenance-seo/.
