Make tinymce support more attributes on a-tags (links)

Would it be an idea to have a more flexible system for adding attributes to a-tags?

It might be too advanced.

Anyway, it would be nice to have a 'RELATIONSHIP'-attribute on links.

Or even a hook-api on the editor, to enable more features. (I don't see that there is any now? Might be wrong, sorry :)

This is useful for enabling lightbox for instance, without hacking the html :)

Adding REL-attribute to link editor

Being javascript, and equipped with several wp hooks (see tiny_mce_config.php), our TinyMCE is very pluggable.

Adding the rel attribute to the link editor will do more harm than good across the WP user base. This is stuff for plugins.
