Description
Hi
I always turn off the: "Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders" inside the Media Settings section.
Can this instead be turned off by default?

I heard back from multiple beginner WP beginner users (they install their own site) who find it a nuisance to later find out that they have multiple folders inside their uploads folder.
So on or off depends on various usage of this setting. But having a discussion around it would be good.

Many FTP servers have listing limitations,ex. 2000 files (1998 files + "." + "..")
If you turn off this optional by default your upload folder may become not completly visibile.
And this can be a bigger nuisance IMHO

Why?
Such options have defaults that work for the majority of users. Can you elaborate on why this particular default should be changed?
