Description
The image crop tool won't allow for cropping of images in the media library. After rotating an image, however it is croppable.

See my attachment. You had selected the cropping area on the image with your cursor before trying to crop? It's a bit wonky since it works differently than some cropping tools in other image editors but I don't think it's a bug unless you've tried this and it still doesn't work.

Yes, I had tried that - it worked fine up until the last wordpress system update. When I select the desired area and hit the crop button nothing happens - tried on three installs accessing from different OS' and browsers.

I also experience the same bug in version 4.4.1.
Indeed image crop only works after triggering other image edit functions like rotating a few times.
Would be nice if a fix is provided.

I can confirm that this is an issue when you're on the post edit screen for attachments outside the wp.media modal (e.g., when you try editing an image in the media library when viewing the library in list mode). Looks like the JS isn't properly updating the selection coordinates (screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cqDCU5PMSXZ).
