Description

So the other day one of my readers wrote to tell me that some of the images in my articles were not loading. The reason I wasn't aware of this is that the problem only appear in Safari browsers, but I have found out the problem shows in Chrome for iOS. I have not tested on Android phones. It works perfect in Chrome for desktop and Firefox.

Take a look at this article fx: http://stayclassy.dk/laekre-herrebukser/

It is only images with "Å" in the file name. Fx. "herrebukser-til-forÅret.png" - Æ and Ø which are also special Danish characters don't cause a problem.

I have been in contact with my hosting and theme creators, but the conclusion we came to is that it must be a WordPress bug. The reason we are certain of this is that I have tried on an entirely other website of mine where the exact same problem arises. WordPress simply can't handle images with "Å" in the file name.

I am pretty confident it has to do with one of the recent updates as this doesn't affect every single article on my website. In fact it is only images in articles from after the WP update the 9. of December where the problem is apparent. I think I updated WP the 13th which explains a few articles from the 10, 11 and 12th of December where images with Å in file name load fine.

My website is http://www.Stayclassy.dk

My version is 4.4.2, but I couldn't choose that one as it wasn't there.

I look forward hearing from you.

Cheers,

Joen Rude Falsner
