Inline link dialog: Add "Open link in a new tab"

It would be a very good idea to add 'open link in new.....' in this new 4.5 function. Otherwise user will still have to the 'old' way to make that choice for every link they make.

Ofcourse, but I would like to have that little '√' right in the first 'screen' where I insert the URL.

We went back and forth on this couple of times. Most preferred was to have the inline dialog as simple as possible, and leave the old modal as "advanced settings" where plugins can extend it. That also keeps all current plugins working.

This still could change in a future redesign but not for 4.5.

I really miss this feature and I think this small change would have a GREAT effect on the daily work with WordPress. It's tedious to go through several menus to accomplish something so often used.

Please make something like this ..... soon ....

"maybelater" ... is it like never?? ... or just forgotten ??

In the everyday life of updating articles on my blogs/websites ... the "open in new tab" is so missed ... it should be right where is needed (not hidden away)

or Anyone with the skills to make a plugin?? PLEASE ?!?
