There seems to be an issue with the ordering functionality in the latest version of WordPress. Wordpress seems to ignore/misunderstand gallery image order.

Hi @aj@isimplifyme.com, welcome to Trac!

Does it still happen with all plugins disabled and a default theme (Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Fifteen) activated?

Could you provide the steps to reproduce the issue on a clean install?

@aj@… can you also tell us your browser and OS version and whether your are using a touch screen computer?
