    3 Considering the breadth of this issue and the fact that (I suspect) most hosts have ImageMagick set up withouth disabling OpenMP, ideally this could be detectable in some regard and use a fallback if it fails to function. Real world hosting for a majority of WP users is cheap shared cPanel/Plesk hosting, often with limited configuration or abilityes to change server directives via .htaccess (never mind folks on nginx).
