    11It's working fine for me, a very slow server serving up the embeds have caused similar issues for me. When it displays just the link then it didn't get any embed info and likely was unable to get the posts html to even scrape for the embed link. You could try setting the timeout higher using the oembed_remote_get_args filter.

     3It would be nice if the errors from both of those wp_safe_remote_get calls would trickle down so folks could see if they are having issues connecting to the oembed providers.
