Is this 'gone' or did i miss something during upload.

These links have been removed in 2.1.
If you want to see them back and you have an argument for bringing them back, you could submit an enhancement ticket.

Anyone like to comment on why these have been removed?
Can someone explain in plain English what the status of this is? Is the issue dead because Matt removed the feature? Or is there still a way to appeal its removal? And if so, how? I don't how to submit an enhancement tkt.
The feature was enormously helpful to me & I miss it a great deal.

My biggest surprise was a small thing: the older version of WordPress had really nice “preview ↓” and “edit ↑” links so that as you’re writing a post, you can jump back and forth easily between the edit textarea and the preview iframe
