Description
1) I think is necessary one core counter post, so the plugins developers can use it and no create every plugin one counter, this can be good also for load more faster the website. And for admins for know what is the post with more visits and no lost it if delete the plugin. And order posts by views no only date.
2) the gallery in jetpack directly in the core or in one single separate plugin with the install wordpress, for have one gallery in the core without need any extra plugin. With lightbox, slider, gallery, etc. Now the webs are modern and many people use the mobile, so no is good load another web for watch the full image attached, and is necessary incorporate one good native gallery and setting in media for change all the galleries to sliders, etc. One good native gallery is necessary.

Thanks for faster reply, iam new here.
Think about this, I have related plugin and most viewed posts, if any plugin use one record to the data base that make slow the load and request to server, so if you have only one counter, all the plugins will uses it. You can disable it if no use one plugin with counter, if the plugin need count they can use it, so you don't have many counters ;)
(Maybe is possible save to one file and upload the date one time at day.)
About the gallery, I just want one better native gallery, how the jetpack without connect to wordpress.com, my theme is ok.
Hi @Guillermo77 and welcome to Trac
For performance reasons, writing to the database or disk on each pageload is not optimal for servers, as such a pageload counter functionality is far better suited for plugin material, there exist many Analytics plugins which can record this data in a number of different formats (Both which use external services, and also local databases).
It's really up to the theme to provide a proper gallery integration IMHO, however, the default styling in Core could definitely use some tweaks, see #17142 for that feature request though (I realise it hasn't had much interaction in quite some time, but is a good place to post your thoughts)
