    99Using a mapped meta-cap is the way to go here. Whether or not (and to what extent) to update the UI to reflect the new behavior is related but separate discussion IMO.

     11And we still haven't really addressed the difference between `user_login` and `user_nicename` and if `nickname` is derived from `login` or whether they are independently editable.
