    44A table per field will always be faster, but where do you draw the line? Bluntly, we're not going to take that route.
    55Metadata stored in postmeta is fine and having a thousand post metas per post isn't an issue - it just needs to be recognised that you can't query globally by postmeta, and it should only be used to narrow an already reduced data set.
