Description
In most browsers, autofill / autocomplete is enabled by default for input fields. This is very handy functionality but I am unable to use this feature with the plugin search since the results constantly refresh. I am not entirely sure if it is possible with the way the search results are handled now but I figured it would be worth finding out.
Here is an example of exactly what I am referring to. I am looking to install 'All in One WP Security & Firewall'
Plugins > Add new
Start typing 'all' and I see my browser remembers 'all in one wp security' but when I try to click that to have the browser auto complete the field, the results quickly refresh and the autocomplete options disappear. The plugin I am looking for is not on the screen so I continue to spell out the exact name of the plugin, each time I am unable to autocomplete the field and the results are refreshed with every new letter. So I have to type out the name of the plugin until it is unique enough to show up on the top of the list.
Again, this may not even be possible and it really isn't a major issue but I find it pretty frustrating at times.
@Craig Ralston thanks for your report! This issue is already tracked on another ticket, see #38211. Do feel free to join the conversation and follow the progress there. Your report is perfectly valid but I'm going to close this ticket as it basically duplicates the previous one.
