I think it would be a more consistent experience to not have a default pop-up box and have this message within the Customizer:
My thinking here is a cohesive experience and means the user is emersed, we can also tailor the message.

@karmatosed Unfortunately the dialog UI and message are provided by the browser. They cannot be customized… even in the customizer. See also http://stackoverflow.com/a/276739/93579
