hi .. i would like to have side bar on front page but none other .. anyway to do that??
i am new to coding ...

Hi @gon2train Mostly welcome.
Twenty Seventeeen looks the way it does, and is not going to change the visual appearance just like that. Therefore, this ticket will be closed now.
What you want to achieve can most probably be done relatively easily with a child theme (have a look at ​https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes to get started.

But: For this kind of support questions you really shouldn't use TRAC, which is more for development and bug fixing of WordPress core. A much better place for you would be ​https://wordpress.org/support/
And - start by searching there. I'm sure you'll find lot of useful information before you even post your own question!
