An image without a caption is not centered

Description

First observed the problem in 4.7.4, and now in 4.7.5.

An image with a caption is centered properly in the page, when that option is chosen.

An image without a caption is centered in the editor, but is not centered in the post.

The workaround is to place the image in a paragraph, and center that.

Note: The proper category for this report may be "Formatting". I'm just not sure what you mean when you use that term. (A glossary of categories would help!)

What theme are you testing with, and does it have an editor-style file, or are you actually referring to the front end display of it?

Most likely caused by your theme. Try switching to one of the default themes (TwentySeventeen, TwentySixteen, etc.) and check again.

If still the same, could you copy the HTML around the image from the Text editor tab, and from the front-end, and paste the two snippets here (if different).

Thanks all. I somehow missed notifications when comments were added, and follow up was requested.
Only saw the "case closed" message.
But that's fine. I have a workaround.
And clearly it isn't a problem with a standard theme!
I have a 3rd party theme.
Maybe it's time to jetison that.
:)
