    11FWIW, I agree with the bump up to major. The company I work for (a theme shop) has started to receive more and more support requests relating to this. We've had to adapt documentation and add extra screenshots to ensure people are changing the Text widget to "HTML" mode and that they strip out any extra line breaks.

    3 This might seem like small steps to "tech savvy" people, but to the average WordPress user (90% of our clients) this is appears to be quite intimidating and causing aggravation (yet another reason to consider switching to a less scary CMS like Squarespace). We've also had feedback from people who are now avoiding updates because "it breaks things". We're always fighting an uphill battle with persuading clients to keep their themes/plugins up to date, so this issue really isn't helping :/
