wp 4.8 - problem width login new users

Hi,
After installing wp 4.8 I created a new admin-user.
If the new user wants to login it occurs an error-message ("Error:Cookies are blocked or not supported by the browser..... you must activate Cookies to use wordpress". (Of course are cookies enabled on the tested browsers)

If I activate the checkbox "Angemeldet bleiben" (Remember me) in the loginbox, the login is successfull.

I checked the same issue in WP 4.7x, there was no problem.

Problem summary: No login possible for new users (maybe only first login) under wp 4.8 without activating "remember me"

I have updated to 4.8 just 20 minutes ago. Tried to reproduce your issue in Chrome and Firefox (I am on Ubuntu) but did not face problem you mentioned about. Both browsers worked perfectly OK. I cleared all caches and cookies from both browsers.

Steps followed:

1. Created a new admin user
2. Logged out (I was logged in as admin)
3. Cleared browser cache
4. Logged back in as the new admin user for the first time
5. I did not face any problem and logged in as admin (without activating Remember Me)

Same steps in both browsers worked fine for me.

Does it still happen on a clean install with all plugins disabled and a default theme (Twenty Seventeen) activated?

Hi, thanks for your fast and great help!
I checked the plugins, and:
If I deactivate the plutin "rename-wp-login.php" there ist no error over.
I send a message to the plugin-author.
